This game was made for the GMTK Jam 2018.
The theme is "GENRE, but you can’t MECHANIC", and in this case, it's a 2D Platformer where you have no control over your jumping. While you have de pogo-stick, you can't stop jumping. But if you get hit by an enemy, the pogo-stick will bounce away, and you can't jump nor stop running without it. You can try and grab it back, but it comes back automatically after a few seconds.
You can jump on top of the enemies to hit them, but using the groundpound on them for now isn't recommended. Also, you get extra jump height after groundpounding.
The Spin move can be used for a bit of vertical velocity control, but just once per jump.
(It's more of a prototype than a game, there are no objectives yet)

How does it relate back to the theme?
It's a platformer where you can't NOT jump while in the Pogo-stick. But if you are hit by an enemy, you lose the Pogo-stick, and can't jump without it, and can't stop running too.
Ah. I get it now
